The first question that arises is – Where Should The Master Bedroom Be As Per Vasthu? There are a few different answers. Some people say North-west, while others say South-east. Here are some tips on how to choose the perfect spot for your bedroom. Remember that your bedroom should be an oasis, where you can relax and unwind. Located opposite the door, however, is not recommended.
North-West
In the Vedic astrology, the North-West direction is the corner of the heavens owned by Vayu. As the name suggests, this direction is unstable. It can give prosperity, wealth and abundance, or create problems with space. However, there are some factors that should be kept in mind before constructing a room in this direction. Read on to learn more about the properties of this direction and how to make it work for you.
South-West
According to the ancient Indian art of Vastu, the south-west direction is the most afflictive. Even though there are numerous Vastu remedies, most of them are useless. But, there are some precautionary measures you can take, such as not opening the south-west entrance. In addition, do not place anything that could disrupt the south-west direction. It is important to open the north-east and the north-west to bring luck in the premises.
North-east
It is highly recommended that you do not place your master bedroom in the north-east of your home. Vastu advises against placing the bed in the north-east corner of the room as it can cause a loss of wealth and a delay in marriage for your daughter. Sleeping in the north-east can also cause conflicts at home. To offset the negative effects of the Vastu dosha in the north-east, you can place lavender in the room. Besides lavender, you can also place some sea salt in the room and hang pictures of Lord Ganesh and Goddess Laksh in the bedroom.
East
The best direction to place the master bedroom is the east. The east direction is a positive place, where you can relax and enjoy your sleep. Placement of the bedroom door is important, as it should face the east. It should be at least four inches away from the wall. Make sure there are no windows on either side of the bed, as this may disturb the sleep. The south-west wall is also a good place to place heavy furniture. You should also avoid placing your bed opposite to the door of the master bedroom.
West
The south-west corner of the bedroom should be reserved for the master bedroom. Other bedrooms should face the Central-South or Central-West directions. The north-west corner is reserved for the daughter's room. Children should use the West or North sides of their bedrooms and study desks should be located in the East or North. If the children are studying in the West corner, they should face the east when they are sitting. They should not sleep with their heads pointing to the north or west.
